The Pakinggan Archive is a digital collection that serves to foment public memory through oral histories and vernacular images of Filipinxs in diaspora. "Pakinggan" means "the act of listening" in Tagalog. Our goal is to listen to and provide images behind and voices to forgotten immigration paths. Photographs, art, and stories illuminate the transpacific narratives of Filipinxs; this archive is a common space that will connect and elevate these experiences.
